America's Boating Course

This Penobscot Bay Sail & Power Squadron Course is designed to familiarize the student with the fundamentals of safe boating and to qualify for certification in most states that require boating education before operating a watercraft.

We'll talk about safety equipment, trip planning, navigation rules and aids, state and federal regulations, anchoring, emergencies, communications, trailering and knots/lines.

A $10.00 Power Squadron Fee will be payable to the instructor.

The course book can be also purchased (optional)from the instructor for $26.00.

Basic Fly Casting

In this one-day, hands-on class, you will be provided with the casting skills necessary to fish effectively on your own. Students are encouraged to use their own fly rod and reel, but equipment will be available for anyone who needs it.

Boston Flower Show Trip

You'll enjoy the beautiful gardens and exhibits at the 2019 Boston Flower and Garden Show. The show will feature garden writers, landscape professionals, master gardeners, local chefs and many venders along with instructional workshops and demonstrations.

The fee includes your paid admission to the show. No refunds after February 15.

Take the trip on a motorcoach bus and don't worry about driving, tolls and finding a parking space!

Caring For Your Cat

A local veterinarian will discuss with you in this one-night class basic considerations, needs and life-long care considerations for your feline companion. We'll talk about age and breed-related needs, indoor vs, outdoor cat issues, vaccines, and challenges with cat ownership.

From kitten hood to the golden years and fur balls to scratching post challenges, various aspects of feline ownership will be addressed.

Easy Plant-Based Cooking - Hampden

In this one-night, hands-on class, you will prepare and taste a great 100% plant-based, gluten and soy-free meal. The menu will include sauteed baby greens in a cashew creme sauce alongside a pandorable patty. 

You'll also receive and take home with you recipes and great information about plant-based foods.

Please bring to class an apron if you have one), mixing bows, spoons and a container to take food home.
