Walking Club - Hampden Academy
Too cold, dark and slippery outside to walk? Join our indoor walking club. Please change out of your boots into a good pair of walking shoes. Stay on the ground level or challenge yourself by walking between the first and second floors. This is an independent program with no instruction provided. Masks are required at this time.

A new and interesting way to learn to square dance. Fun and easy. It's for beginners and anyone who's ever danced in the past and wants to return to the fun. Instruction is in a relaxed, easy setting with a personal touch. A good way to have fun with your partner (spouse, significant other or friend). A single person can also be accommodated. Classes will be held at the Citizens of Maine building at 177 Cold Brook Rd. in Hampden.

This one night course introduces immediate lifesaving principles to correct airway obstructions and cardiac arrest in adults, infants, and children. Students can receive an American Heart Association Heart Saver certificate after successfully completing this course.

This one night paint and sip style class is intended for people who want a fun and creative afternoon. The instructor is fun and easy to follow as she teaches you through creating your own painting. This is a perfect environment to flex your artistic muscles and have fun! This will be an acrylic painting of a loon in a lake at sunset. Feel free to improvise and choose your own colors while the teacher explains the method! So grab your coffee and settle in for a fun evening!

Our easy-toaccess live online webinar will take you behind the scenes at Voice Coaches studios, where we regularly produce voice over content for clients including Netflix, Discovery, HGTV, Disney, Lifetime, Nickelodeon, and many more. From audio books, training material, animation, and commercials to socially relevant content, television, and much, much more: today’s voice over field has become a great way to leverage your individual voice qualities and communication skill in a whole new way. This class also includes an opportunity to receive a brief one-on-one voice range and quality assessment with our instructor.

Introduction to Fly Fishing
This course is designed to get you solidly grounded in the fundamentals needed to enjoy fly fishing. Topics covered include tackle selection and assembly, knots, fly casting, fish foods, artificial flies, fly fishing strategies, entomology, and wading safety. After completing this course, you should have all the understanding and skills necessary to catch fish with a fly rod on your own. This course will be taught in Orono by Kevin Tracewski, a registered Maine guide and author of the best selling book, A Fisherman’s Guide to Maine.
$85 - 7 hour session (9AM – 4PM). Saturday April 1, 2023

Satisfy your curiosity about clay! Come get your hands dirty in this fun introduction to throwing clay on the pottery wheel! This 4 session class will provide hands-on instruction covering the fundamentals of throwing clay: centering, opening, pulling up and shaping your pots. You’ll learn about the stages that clay goes through – from wet, to leather-hard, to bone-dry and about the hand-tools used for trimming and creating texture on pots. Please wear casual, loose fitting clothes and closed-toe shoes that can get dirty.
Three Sessions to choose from, each limited to 4 students due to the number of pottery wheels.
Session 3: April 3, 5, 7, 12 (Glaze Day), 14 (Pick Up) 6-7:30 pm
