Hampden-Walking Club
Too cold, dark and slippery outside to walk? Join our indoor walking club. Please use a pair of goodwalking shoes (no boots). Stay on the ground level or challenge yourself by walking between thefirst and second floors. This is an independent program with no instruction provided.

Hampden-Introduction to Yoga & Pilates

If you have been wondering about trying Yoga but didn't know where to start or if you have heard about Pilates and the strengthening and strengthening benefits, you are in the place. This introductory class gives you beginner poses and bodyweight exercises on or off the floor. After the 6 week session, you will find an increase in flexibility and strength, improved range of motion, and overall well-being. All you need is a mat!

Yoga infused Pilates for Core Strength, Flexibility, Meditation, and Breathwork
Strength is important. It allows us to perform all the activities we love for the rest of our lives. By focusing on our core, we can access the muscles that support our bodies. Studying the practice founded by Joseph Pilates, we look at how to incorporate these movements and exercises into a yoga/Pilates fusion class that will strengthen the body, increase flexibility and improve our balance. Classes can be done with body weight exercises or with light weights if you would like to bring your own. Some exercise bands will be available to use as well. At Reeds Brook Middle School

This one night course introduces immediate lifesaving principles to correct airway obstructions and cardiac arrest in adults, infants, and children. Students can receive an American Heart Association Heart Saver certificate after successfully completing this course.

Chords Are Key - Using the Chord Method By Craig Coffman
Craig Coffman is an experienced piano and guitar instructor, professional pianist and music director. He has over 30 years experience teaching piano privately. His piano and guitar seminars, offered through Community Colleges and Community Education Programs, have been attended by over 30,000 students throughout The United States, Kenya, South Africa Arizona and the Philippines. He has a degree in Sociology from Wesleyan University in Illinois (where he also studied piano) and a Master of Divinity degree from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.
How To Play Piano by Ear - Zoom - 2 ½ Class
Learn one of music’s deepest mysteries: how to play songs without relying on music. A very practical presentation of music theory that includes predicting chord progressions, learning from recordings, and transposing-all expressed in everyday language. This is an ideal follow-up to the “Instant Piano” class and is open to anyone who has a basic understanding of chords on any instrument. Expand your musical horizons, and free yourself from sheet-music dependence, and be the life of the party! Prior experience with chords recommended. Fee includes the online book, online follow-up lessons, a recording of the class and an optional monthly question and answer session. Class is held online using zoom.
