“Aromatherapy and yoga are both ancient healing practices that can be used to improve physical, mental, and spiritual health. Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils to enhance well-being, while yoga is a practice that focuses on relaxation, deep breathing, and meditation. Together, they can create a holistic experience that can improve your health.” Different aromas and physical postures can have different effects including: good for meditation, relaxing and uplifting, balance the mind and emotions, improve concentration, support immunity, relieve stress and help you sleep, help you feel calm and centered, help with mental rejuvenation, relieve tension in the brain and body.

Hampden-Walking Club Winter Session
Too cold, dark and slippery outside to walk? Join our indoor walking club. Please use a pair of goodwalking shoes (no boots). Stay on the ground level or challenge yourself by walking between thefirst and second floors. This is an independent program with no instruction provided.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday, at Hampden Academy (No walking club during school closures)
Intuitive Heart-Led Sound Bath

Maleine Gargurevich will be combining vocal, toning, mantra, and ethereal sounds amongst a diversity of instruments, such as Tibetan bowls, chimes, drums, small gongs, tuning forks, and xylophones in this beautiful experience. You are invited to dive deep within the realms of your being-ness, the space between the conscious and unconscious self. You will be guided into your heart space, releasing what is no longer needed and creating the space within yourself for new opportunities of life exploration and gratitude. You are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, and welcome to bring mats, pillows, blankets or bolsters to make your experience even more cozy and relaxing. Mats and limited blankets/bolsters are available as well.

Reaching balanced wellness by working on strengthening and stretching the muscles, preventing falls, improving cardiovascular and bone density health. This class is progressive and increases your overall well-being throughout the 6 week session."Standing and Floor Work! This dynamic, full-bodied exercise program supports muscle growth and increases stamina! Prepare to be getting on and off the floor during the mat portion. If you have been working on your fitness and want to challenge yourself, "Senior Fitness" will guide you safely and effectively.

This class offers seated strength and flexibility exercises to improve mobility and fall prevention. All exercises will support people with arthritis, osteoporosis, and other health concerns if they are cleared by their primary care provider.
