Delectable Doggie Treats-Hampden

Spend an evening making healthy, delicious dog treats out of common household ingredients. These will be rolled, cut out, and cooked in the oven. A variety of shaped cookie cutters will be provided, but if you have a particular cookie cutter that you think your dog will like, please feel free to bring it to the class. All other supplies will be provided. 

Cost $5 (plus a $10 materials fee paid directly to the instructor)

Steel Mace Flow (TM) Fitness-Orono

An ancient weapon and training tool turned mainstream for modern-day fitness, the steel mace holds the power to build stability, core strength, balance, shoulder mobility and functional strength. Using the Steel Mace Flow (TM) System, participants will learn the structure and steps to move with 10 lb mace through a series of positions to create strong and beautiful flows. This unique fitness experience is both resistance training and artistic expression. Do something beautiful with your strength! Lighter weight steel and wooden maces will be available as well to make this strength art accessible to all levels.

PetTech-Pat First Aid and CPR-Orono

This class includes CPR techniques, first aid skills, health care and wellness information for dogs and cats. Demonstrations will be done in class as well as hands on skill practicing. Every student will be required to demonstrate the skills learned. We will also have time for questions and storytelling. We believe discussing the "what if" situations allow for a better understanding of how to use these skills in real life scenarios. Additionally, the class includes our PetSaverTM 40-page handbook and upon successful completion, each participant will receive a certificate and a wallet card. Be prepared for the unexpected!

Grant Writing 101-Hampden

This course will include discussion and hands-on activities to help you find, apply for, and secure grants for your organization. Topics include an introduction to grants, grant seeking, and grant writing; tools to get your organization grant ready; resources to find good funding opportunities; how to prepare applications and proposals; and how to manage awards and other grant activities.

DIY Maine Pack Basket (Backpack Style)-Old Town

 In this all day/8 hour class you will come in with no basket weaving knowledge and leave with an incredible pack-basket that you made yourself! The class size is limited so that the instructor may help everyone individually and ensure they leave with a beautiful and functional basket. Not only will you have a new creation, but you will also have the skills to make it again. Pack-baskets are traditionally used for ice fishing but can be used for picnics, laundry, hiking, gardening, you name it! Kits can be purchased at the class if you would like to make more than one. Applique Class-"Wonderland"-Hampden

“Wonderland” - A doe is nestled in the evergreen trees of this wool appliqué 24” runner. The Delft blue background is perfect for the falling snow. Relax as you sew the hand embroidered stitches that compliment the appliqués. Sharp shears are required. Bring any Pearl Cotton threads or flocs you may have, or purchase some from the instructor. Bring your lunch or order out. Class is limited to 8.
