Introduction to Voice Over Acting

This one-night workshop is designed to introduce adults to the voice over field in a manner that is easy to understand, update, fun and affordable.
Voice overs are found everywhere, from commercials, audio books, cartoons, gaming and documentaries. You'll learn about the business and you"ll have an opportunity to record a real script under the direction of a producer in a recording studio.
Kringle Candle & Yankee Candle Bus Trip
An early morning start Departing from Orono, Bangor, Palmyra and Wells will take you to Bernardston, MA where you will have 3 hours to explore the Flagship Kringle Candle Store, visit the charming shops across the street and grab a bite to eat. At 3pm, you will be bussed over to Yankee Candle in Deerfield, MA (very close by) and will have 3 hours to explore that store as well as take part in their Christmas Tree lighting to kick off the Christmas Season.
We will leave for home at 6 pm.
Payment is due at time of registration and there will be no refunds after Nov. 2, 2018.

Maine Driving Dynamics - Hampden
This course is a 5.5 hour defensive driving and driver improvement program developed by the Bureau of Highway Safety. Those completing the course will receive credit on their driving record.
If you are 65 years and older, call our office (862-6422) directly to register for this course, as your fee for this course is only $25.00.
Math Lab - Old Town

Our individualized, self-paced Math Lab allows students to earn high school math credits, prepare for the Accuplacer test or prepare for the HiSET exam.
There is no course fee for most local residents.

Mommy & Me Fleece Blankets

In this fun, hands-on one night class, you will make a cozy, cuddly fleece blanket to take home with you at the end of the evening. No sewing is required.
You'll learn how to make a family blanket just by tying knots! Just bring with with you to class 2 equal-sized pieces of complementary fleece (front and back) along with a pair of scissors. You decide the size and pattern you want to work with.
Penny Rugs - High & Dry

In this 2-night class, we will create a lovely, seasonal 10.5" x 24" blue wool table runner featuring two snowmen in a wagon being pulled by a sheep. You'll be able to use this table runner for the holiday season and through the winter.
You will learn the technique of wool applique. Bring any Pearl Cotton threads or floss you may have or purchase some from the instructor. Bring sharp scissors.
A $28.00 materials fee will be payable directly to the instructor on the first night of class.
Red Cross Baby Sitting Course
with Carrie Bonnefond
Participation in this one-day workshop will help you learn how to be a safe, professional and reliable sitter. You’ll also learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep yourself and others safe and learn about basic child care and basic first aid.
This training is designed for youths ages 11-16.
Students who successfully complete the course will earn a Red Cross Certificate.
Participants should bring snacks and a lunch with you to this class.
Self-Defense for Women - Hampden

Join us for a single session introduction to self-defense for women. This course covers a review of laws related to self-defense, gentle stretches and exercises that you can practice at home, and an introduction to defensive tactics and techniques for women of all ages and fitness levels.
