Intro to Google Drive & Docs - Orono

Calendar May 6, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

In this one-night class, you will be introduced to the storage and sharing features of Google Drive. We will also look at the collaboration features of the processor Google Docs. 

Students should have basic computer knowledge and an active email account. Bringing your personal laptop is encouraged but not required.

A small class size wiil ensure that students receive individualized attention.

Intro to Line Dancing

In this 6-week line dancing class, we will dance to all kinds of music. Line dancing is not difficult once you know the basic steps. No exerience is needed to participate in this fun fitness activity!

 

Intro to Pickleball - Hampden Daytime

In this 2-week course, you will learn to play Pickleball, "the fastest growing sport in the U.S.A.". Sessions consist of general instruction and play. Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and ping-pong. 

Inexpensive to play, Pickleball provides good exercise, is great for individuals of all ability levels, is easy to pick up and play and is a great social activity. 

This is an attractive sport that is ideal for all ages, especially Seniors 50+.

All equipment will be provided to you.

Intro to Soap Making

Intro to Soap Making

Calendar Mar 20, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

In this one-night, hands-on class, you will learn how to make soap from scratch using natural oils and ingredients. We'll discuss materials, safety and different types of soap making. 

Participants will collectively make a master batch of soap and scent to their own liking and take them home with them.

The $19.00 course fee will include the cost of all ingredients and materials.

 

Introduction to Self-Defense

Calendar May 21, 2019 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Join us for this one-night self-defense workshop. In this class, we will review Maine's statutes relating to self-defense and be instructed in basic exercises and techniques from a variety of martial arts traditions.

Wear comfortable clothing and expect to move, stretch and practice self-defense techniques solo and with partners.

This class is open to folks of all ability levels; 16 years and older. 

 

Introduction to Tennis - Evenings

In this 3-week class, we will help you learn to play tennis or to refresh existing tennis skills. Basic fundamentals and rules will be taught. Players will also learn every stroke through fun games and drills.

Tennis is a lifetime sport - perfect for any age level.

Any non-marking shoe is acceptable. Equipment is provided, if necessary.
