Holiday Wreath Making Class

Please join us for this creative class and make a traditional holiday wreath with fragrant, native balsam fir branches. Each participant will be able to make and take home a 15 inch holiday wreath. All materials will be included in the class, however, you are encouraged to bring your own ribbon or embellishments. if you would like to personalize the class.

Material fee: $15 paid to instructor

How to Get the Most Out of the Internet

As times change, so too do our resources at hand. This class will cover some basic but helpful ways to get the most out of the internet, including how to conduct a better search on Google, avoid scams, distinguish between reputable websites and 'tabloid journalism', find the best deals on hotels and flights, automatically find promo codes for online shopping, and plenty more. There will be a period for questions about specific topics, with hands-on training if desired.

To participate in this one-day skills portion of the class, you must first go online ( ME Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife) and complete the online portion of the class. Once you complete this part, print of the class voucher and bring it with you to the skills portion of the class.

Indian Vegetarian Cooking Class

This is a one night Vegetarian cooking class where you will learn how to cook healthy, tasty, Indian vegetarian food that promotes health and well-being. There will be a description of various spices and how to use them. This is a hands-on class.


Intro to Heart Rhythym Meditation

In this 6 week introductory course to Heart Rhythm Meditation (taught by Steve Hodgdon and Paige Mitchell), we'll learn to recognize and regulate our interanl rhythms and feelings, and hone our abilities to redesign our attitudes and actions. We'll apply this practice to our health, relationsups, and goals, allowing us to take on larger challenges with less stress. 

Heart Rhythm Medutation can:

-Expand your concept of who you are, and broaden your scope of awareness

-Create states of stillness, alertness, peace, and insight

-Physically strengthen your heart, stabilize its rhythm, open your circulatory sytem, and oxygenate your blood stream.

Each participant will receive their own personal journals, and copies of "Living From the Heart," by Puran and Susanna Bair, founders of this meditation practice. During each meeting, we'll practice Heart Rhythm Meditation, discuss our experiences, and make action paths towards self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and self-confidence.


Intro to Pickleball - Hampden Daytime

This 2-week course will help you learn to play “the fastest growing sport in the USA.” Sessions consist of general instruction and open play. Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and ping-pong. Inexpensive to play, this sport provides good exercise, is great for individuals of all ability levels and is easy to pick up to play. A very attractive sport for all ages, especially seniors 50+. All equipment provided. 

Introduction to Tennis - Afternoons

In this 3-week class, we will help you learn to play tennis or to refresh existing tennis skills. Basic fundamentals and rules will be taught. Players will also learn every stroke through fun games and drills.

Tennis is a lifetime sport - perfect for any age level.

Any non-marking shoe is acceptable. Equipment is provided, if necessary.



Introduction to Voice Over Acting

This one-night workshop is designed to introduce adults to the voice over field in a manner that is easy to understand, update, fun and affordable.

Voice overs are found everywhere, from commercials, audio books, cartoons, gaming and documentaries. You'll learn about the business and you"ll have an opportunity to record a real script under the direction of a producer in a recording studio.
