ACE Personal Trainer Course

Jan 22, 2017 at 2 pm, runs for 12 weeks

This 12 week course will give you the knowledge and skills needed to pass the ACE Personal Trainer Exam.

You'll cover anatomy, physiology, training techniques, injury prevention and equipment uses.

The course Fee: $77.00 or $190.00 (class and books).

Algebra I

This is a 45-hour high school level basic Algebra I course. This course is designed to assist the student who wants to earn a high school diploma, the high school graduate who is looking for college transition support or someone who needs help prepping for the HiSET.

This course is Free to any adult education student who has not yet earned a high school diploma - call us at 827-3906 to register for this course if you need this course to earn a diploma.

America's Boating Course

This Penobscot Bay Sail & Power Squadron Course is designed to familiarize the student with the fundamentals of safe boating and to qualify for certification in most states that require boating education before operating a watercraft.

We'll talk about safety equipment, trip planning, navigation rules and aids, state and federal regulations, anchoring, emergencies, communications, trailering and knots/lines.

A $10.00 Power Squadron Fee will be payable to the instructor.

The course book can be also purchased (optional)from the instructor for $25.00.

American Society Through Film

This is a 45-hour high school level English/Social Studies class. The course is designed to demonstrate, through modern films, different aspects of American society.

Class discussion and writing assignments will support the viewing of these different films to examine modern American culture from 1900.

If you are a local student, call us (862-6422) to register for this class, because you can probably take the course for free!

Arctic Fox Painting Night

In this one-night class, you will create and take home with you a beautiful work of art that you can frame and hang on any wall in your home.

You'll create a work of art, incorporating a lovely and dainty arctic fox.

Bring coffee or tea with you and we'll do the rest. This calm and peaceful paint night is the perfect night out. Bring your friends!

A $15.00 materials fee will be payable to the instructor.

Ballroom Dance for Beginners

This 8-week course is designed for the more experienced dancer who wants to move beyond the basic skills taught in the beginner class.

We'll work on the more advanced steps, stylings and techniques of the Swing, Waltz and American Tango.
